Sustainable and Practical Approach to Reading for Kids

Program SPARK, which stands for Sustainable and Practical Approach to Reading for Kids, is formulated by the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) of the Schools Division Office of Cavite Province as a response to the Department of Education's Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa (3Bs Initiative), a re-affirmation of the 2017 Every Child a Reader Program (ECARP).

Through the Program SPARK, the Schools Division Office of Cavite Province intensifies its advocacy for reading, pledges commitment to make every learner a reader at his/ her grade level, and aligns its priorities towards the promotion of the culture of reading as a key step in closing achievement gaps.

Supplementing POWER IT UP, Program SPARK aims to strengthen reading across all grade levels and learning areas by capacitating and designating all teachers, regardless of learning area, as teachers of reading.
