Reading

Read the instructions below before doing it with a house partner.

INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW:

1. Ask a house partner to check for the errors on word recognition. Follow the guide below in checking it:

   1. • Mispronunciation - read the word incorrectly.

      • Repetition - repeated one word while reading.

      • Omission - forget to read a particular word.

      • Insertion - read words which are not on the text.

      • Substitution - read a different word than what is written on the text.

      • Rejection - intentionally skipped to read a word because of its difficulty to pronounce.

2. Count the number of errors by using the tally sheet included in the Reading Material or, on the occasion that you do not have your own copy, write it on a piece of 1/2 cross-wise of an intermediate paper.

3. Answer the questions on the second page/back page of the material. Write your answers on the space provided or, on the occasion that you do not have your own copy, write it on a piece of 1/2 cross-wise of an intermediate paper.

4. Do not forget to write your name and section.
