The First High School Story

In 1982, with 7 male and 8 female students...

...the First High School for the Hearing Impaired in Cebu City opened.

Dr. Leona L. Villaflor, initiated the opening of the secondary school.

Department of Education, Culture and Sports (now DepEd) Region VII - supervised and managed the secondary school.

Quota Club of Cebu International - provided financial assistance.

Cebu State College (now CNU) - worked for the accreditation and provided the venue.

MILESTONES:

• 1992 September - the school was transferred to where it stands at RELC Building, Macopa Street, Basak, Cebu City with an area of 3110 sq. meters.
• 1997 January - it was turned over to the Department of Education - Cebu City Division Superintendent Dr. Leonila B. Oliva.
• This school year 2017 - 2018, the school has a total population of 39 and 5 regular teachers all under the supervision of the school principal, Mr. Juan Damasceno D. Villaver.
