HISTORY

Engr. Vicente R. Cruz (EVRC) Memorial School was founded in September 1968.

The contract usufruct states that the lot will be utilized by Barangay Tibag for school purposes only for fifty years. The owner of this lot was the Cruz family. The total land area measures 4,350 square meters which are totaled at old Sapang Nayon now known as Barangay Tibag.

The school was named Engr. Vicente R. Cruz in memory of late Engineer Vicente R. Cruz, the owner of the lot where the school is located.

The following are the list of Principals who served in this school: Faustino Kalaw (1968-1984), Samuel Lapuz (1984-1989), Amelia Tolentino (1989-1994), Rufo Romano (1994-1997), Juanita Ignacio (1997-1998), Concepcion Pagkanlungan (1998-2002), Aurea Lajom (2002-2004), Romeo Darcen (2004-2008), Godofreda Mañaol (2008-2011), Rosalie S. Santos (2011-2014), Ana Maria S. Pahati (2014-2018), Ma. Cristina R. Flores (2018-2021), and Leonila R. Yanto , PhD is the current School Head of EVRC MS.
