Ernesto D. Violan National High School is established by virtue of DepEd Special Order No. R-XI-013,s.2022 dated October 5, 2022 in response to the pertinent documents submitted reflecting the valid need and earnest desire of the local community for a secondary school in the area as initiated by Municipal Councilor Hon. Hadji Bonso Barabag and the commitment of both executive and legislative bodies of the LGU Barangay San Isidro headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Anita L. Quinte, LGU Municipality of Lupon headed by Mayor Hon. Linda D. Lim and Vice Mayor Hon. Santos "Sonny" Q Alonzo, Jr. and the LGU Province of Davao Oriental headed by Governor Hon. Corazon N. Malanyaon and Vice Governor Hon. Nino Uy together with the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee Chairperson on Education Board Member Hon. Harold A. Montes, as well as the 2nd District Representative Congressman Hon. Cheeno Almario to provide necessary support and assistance.
This school is under the supervision of the Schools Division of Davao Oriental, in the East District of the municipality of Lupon. The pioneering faculty are Ms. Chona Joy A. Alejandrino, Teacher III and designated Teacher In-Charge, with the volunteer teachers Mr. Kent Dorrald F. Solana and Ms. Algean Q. Rojas.
The pioneering class of Grade 7 is composed of 8 boys and 8 girls with a total of 16 and occupies the 4-classroom makeshift building constructed by the LGU Barangay San Isidro.
A secondary school within the barangay is a long-awaited desire of the locals of Barangay San Isidro in the municipality of Lupon for the past 50 years.
On July 25, 2022 by virtue of Sangguniang Bayan Resolution No. 2022-147 authored by municipal councilor Hon. Hadji Bonso Barabag, wherein a request to cause and facilitate the establishment of the Ernesto D. Violan National High School started the fulfillment of the residents' wish.
August 4, 2022, upon the endorsement of the then Public Schools District Supervisor Vanessa T. Duot and recommendation of the Schools Division of Davao Oriental SGOD Chief Ernesto Cabanes, teacher Chona Joy A. Alejandrino was designated and tasked to process the needed requirements for the proposed establishment Ernesto D. Violan National High School.
August 5, 2022 was the first meeting and discussion with Brgy. San Isidro Punong Barangay Hon. Anita L. Quinte and Kagawad Hon. Letecia W. Bertanico then followed series of consultation with the residents of the barangay, planning with the barangay council and close coordination with the concerned offices and agencies -

All of the above and along others respectively extended services, technical assistance and resources needed for the compliance of the requirements leading to the issuance of DepEd Special Order No. R-XI-013,s.2022 i.e. establishment of Ernesto D. Violan National High School on October 5, 2022.
SCHOOL SITE - The school site is part of the 5-hectare land donated by the heirs of Ernesto D. Violan to the Barangay of San Isidro. In the year 2005, then school principal of Ernesto D. Violan Elementary School, Mr. Roland A. Deligero processed the titling of the land and secured 2 hectares named in the school with the vision of the establishment of secondary school. August 2022, then School Head Mr. Fernando Goles offered the undeveloped upper portion of the land for the proposed secondary school.
MAKESHIFT BUILDING - In order to ensure the tenureship of the school and continuity of the delivery of education, the Department of Education requires a makeshift building of GI Sheet roofing and concrete foundation as temporary classrooms for start up operation. The LGU Barangay Council in its unified desire for the realization of the long-awaited secondary school unanimously agreed to re-aligned their budget for the supposedly procurement of barangay transportation vehicle to instead construct the 4-classroom makeshift building. In addition, it set up the flagpole and installed the school signage. These projects were accomplished from December 2022 to January 2023.
FIRST CLASS -The very first class of Grade 7 is composed of 16 students that represent a literal gender equality. It officially met on November 4, 2022 in a borrowed classroom in the elementary school where it conducted classes until December 2022.

ESTABLISHMENT PERIOD - August 4, 2022 Ms. Chona Joy A. Alejandrino was designated and authorized to process the establishment of the proposed Ernesto D. Violan National High School. After a series of collaborative meetings, close coordination with concerned offices and agencies, thorough supervision of EPS Alan Limbadan and 5 revisions of the pertinent documents, the DepEd Special Order No. R-XI-013,s.2022 was issued on October 5, 2022.
HON. HADJI BONSO S. BARABAG - Author of Sangguniang Bayan Resolution No. 2022-147 to cause and facilitate the establishment of Ernesto D. Violan National High Schoool.
HON. ERLINDA D. LIM - Municipal Mayor of Lupon signified and certified support in the establishment of the proposed Ernesto D. Violan National High School. Secured an allocation for 2-classroom building in the 2023 budget.
HON. SANTOS "SONNY" Q. ALONZO, JR. - Municipal Vice Mayor, the first to extend generous support in providing budget and heavy equipment that conducted clearance operation of the school site.
HON. ANITA L. QUINTE - Punong Barangay of Barangay San Isidro who is hands on, diligent, industrious and resourceful in providing the requirements. Together with the Barangay Council and staff, all pertinent documents are promptly provided.
MS. CHERNALINE G. QUER - Former GPTA president of the Ernesto D. Violan Elementary School. Representative of the parents and community. Personally conducted campaign and solicited supports both from local and foreign sources.
MS. MARY JANE R. MANTOS - Municipal Treasurer who initiated the allocation of budget for the processing cost as well as the early request for educational tools.
ENGR. MINDA BRASILENO and ENGR. BERNARD BRAGA- Municipal Planning and Development Officer and Municipal Engineer respectively who provided significant technical assistance by readily deploying their personnel to ocular site visits, survey and providing documents necessary.
HON. HAROLD A. MONTES - District II Provincial Board Member. He was hands on in the processing of the establishment and personally hand carry the drafts of the pertinent papers and presenting it before the Provincial Local School Board Meeting.
HON. CHEENO ALMARIO - 2nd District Representative whose office signified full support for the future long-term infrastructure need.
HON. SOTERO NIÑO UY - Provincial Vice Governor who generously took the initiative to provide financial assistance for the processing of pertinent documents.
HON. CORAZON N. MALANYAON - Provincial Governor who is generous in her support by personally looking into the processing of the establishment. Moreover, she committed an additional budget for the construction of comfort rooms and installation of electrical line.
