PARADA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL located at Barangay Parada, Santa Maria, Bulacan, is an elementary school that accommodates children with specials needs as it is offering Special Education curriculum, Kinder to Grade 6 and Special Science Elementary School learners from the barangay and learners from its nearby community.
Formal education started in 1902 with Kartilya and the classes were hold in Chapels. Pioneer teacher need to exert extra effort because they had to fetched learners from their homes. As the time elapsed, people realized the need and importance of education. New ideas then generated, substantiated and the dream of a one room house classroom were accomplished. Later on they took over greater strides in its march to progress and the one teacher barrio school became a complete primary school. The achievement motivated barrio folks through the dim days of war crisis marched into full development of its home industries. Poultry and garment factories cropped up and the increasing marked progress gave way to the completion of an elementary school. In 1947, Parada Elementary school were established. As the barangay, progresses the population grew and the need for more classrooms were raised. Rehabilitation, construction and development of infrastructure were done through the combined effort and cooperation of the barrio people and school personnel.
As of December 2019, the school has 27 academic rooms and a Computer laboratory room that caters more than 1296 learners with shifting of classes from grades 1 to grade 3 and a single shift from Grade IV to Grade VI. The school were holding shifting of classes because of the shortage of classroom.
To date, the school was headed by the Mrs. Marites F. Torno, Principal II with 40 teaching force . 3 master teachers I, 4 Teacher III, 5 Teacher II, 27 teacher I and 1 SPED teacher I. The school cleanliness were maintained by 1 nationally funded utility worker and a security guard funded by School’s Maintenance and other Operating Expenses MOOE funds. 1 utility worker and 1 clerk subsidized by Municipal LSB funds and canteen helpers.
The institution’s prime advocacy is to produce functional, literate and morally upright learners.
