"The Department of Education, Cebu City Division conceptualized this local stakeholders convergence to purposely gather all of us, of course, to know each other, to recognize your contribution to the Department of Education and at the same time for us to determine the level of cooperation and participation, and the level of understanding in terms of partnerships and networking." Dr. Dagatan said that there is nothing he could ask from the stakeholders today because their presence is already a great gift to everybody. They have been helping the Education System specifically the schools from Cebu City Division and now is the time that teachers and parents have seen them in person. He added that through this activity, it is one way of recognizing the stakeholders for the help they have extended to the public school students.

"I feel so moved and touched. It is the best thing for me to connect with you, we are at the right direction. There are so many loving colleagues and I was evangelized by these DepEd people. The greatest blessing when I asked Atty. Reynaldo D. Laguda who would be the next undersecretary? Atty. Laguda said it should come from Cebu City because of the successful and strong partnership among stakeholders. The love, care and faith in God sustain us in helping us unfold our future, become productive and build our employees today because every child is a diamond that has full of dedication and hard work. I believe that God is using our educators. Our greatest challenge is for us to be able to pass to our future generation the good values, morals and good education most especially to our public school students. "

"I would like to begin with a question, What can we do for our school children? In DepEd, our focus is to work intensively in order to assist the implementation of the Curriculum and Instruction. What's really the status of DepEd Cebu City? Why do we have to converge today? It is for you to be aware that all these achievements are possible because of hard work. We are part of the community, we have to attend to them. Our team is for planning, the very priority that we need to have is the strong support system because without our stakeholders we will never succeed." Doc. Arcilla stated that we are here to support in order that we can come up with the quality education that we desire for. There is actual evidence that we need to strengthen the support system in schools because DepEd can never be successful without our partners. She then reiterated Hon. Tommy Osmena's Mantra, make tomorrow better than today.

Kini alang sa gugma sa atong kabataan nga mahimong mahinungdanon ug mabulokon alang sa kalamboan sa Sugbo, sa atong nasod ug sa tibuok kalibutan alang sa kahimayaan sa atong Labaw nga Makagagahum."
