School Management, Monitoring and Evaluation (SMME) is one of the units under the School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD). It is being teamed up by Senior Education Program Specialist, Salve Agustin-Kalon who also functions as the Division Testing Coordinator (DTC) and the Private Schools Focal Person, with Education Program Specialist II, Eric B. Cortejo.

SEPS Salve A. Kalon and EPS II Eric B. Cortejo of the Schools Management, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit of SGOD, SDO Antique have recently completed the Post Graduate Certificate in Management for Education Leaders (PGCMEL) from the prestigious Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in Makati City, Metro Manila. This specialized program is designed to strengthen the capabilities of education leaders in strategic planning, organizational management, and effective decision-making. Their achievement reflects a commitment to advancing the standards of educational leadership within the Schools Division of Antique, with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of teaching, learning, and overall education service delivery for the province.
The 2nd Quarter FY 2025 Program Implementation Review and Performance Assessment (PIRPA) was recently conducted to evaluate the accomplishments of each unit under the School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) and to set clear targets for the upcoming quarter. This quarterly activity serves as an essential mechanism for tracking progress, identifying challenges, and ensuring that all units are aligned with the Division’s strategic objectives.
During the session, SGOD Chief Dr. Evelyn C. Remo meticulously examined the performance reports of every unit and section. Each presentation highlighted the achievements attained within the second quarter, as well as areas requiring further attention. Dr. Remo provided valuable feedback, strategic recommendations, and practical assistance to help ensure that all targets are realistic, attainable, and responsive to the needs of the schools and stakeholders in the Division.
Through this rigorous review process, the SGOD reaffirmed its commitment to delivering efficient and effective governance and operational support to schools. The activity not only recognized the hard work and dedication of each team but also laid down a concrete roadmap for the next quarter, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement in the delivery of educational services.
