Danao Elementary School Launches Early Registration for SY 2026–2027
Danao Elementary School in Brgy. Danao, Surigao City officially opens its Early Registration for School Year 2026–2027, welcoming all incoming Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Balik‑Aral learners. The registration period runs from January 31, 2026 to February 27, 2026, giving parents and guardians ample time to secure a slot for their children.
The campaign aims to ensure that every school-aged child in the community is provided access to quality basic education. It also allows the school to prepare essential resources such as classrooms, teachers, and learning materials ahead of time.

Strengthening Access to Education: Danao Elementary School's Successful Child Mapping Initiative
Danao Elementary School is one of the schools in the Division of Surigao City. It is located in Barangay Danao, Surigao City. The school is composed of 8 teachers and 2 non-teaching personnel. It is ruled by a principal.
Child mapping is a mandatory activity initiated by the Department of Education. To support the DepEd programs and projects, Danao Elementary school enjoined in this activity.
On January 25, 2025, the child mapping activity started and it lasted for 3 Saturdays. The child mapping activity aimed to identify school – aged children in the community and its neighboring barangay to ensure equitable access to education. This activity involved door – to – door surveys to document children’s ages and educational status.
Before the conduct of this endeavor, the school principal of the school in the person of Mr. Ansal Q. Degamon, explained to the teachers why there is a need of child mapping. Th goal of this child mapping is to identify out – of – school children and improved targeted enrollment.
During the conduct of this endeavor, there we’re two groups of teachers made. One group assigned for the community of Barangay Danao, the other group we’re assigned in the neighborhood barangay, Sitio Aton.
The teachers assigned we’re very much active in doing their task. They interviewed the household owner to make sure that they can gathered accurate data.
The overall conduct of the said activity was successful through the collaborative efforts exerted by the teaching staff of Danao Elementary School.
Danao Es holds SELG Election 2025
Danao ES – The Supreme Elementary Leader Government (SELG) election at Danao Elementary School took place on February 24, 2025. The election saw a competitive race for the top leadership positions, as pupils cast their votes for the candidates who will represent them in the upcoming school year.
The event held in the school was an exciting occasion for pupils, teachers, and parents. The election process was conducted smoothly, with candidates presenting their platforms and engaging in campaign activities that showcased their commitment to improving the school environment.
The SELG election serves as a vital component of the school's leadership program, allowing pupils to actively participate in governance and develop leadership skills. The election symbolizes a fresh start and the beginning of a new chapter for Danao Elementary School.
As the election results were announced, pupils celebrated the opportunity to have a voice in their school’s leadership, with high hopes for the changes their new leaders will bring.
As the pupils of Danao Elementary School look forward to the upcoming school year, the election of the new SELG has sparked renewed enthusiasm and a collective sense of hope for the future.
