Overview
The Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed Career Guidance Program (CGP) for School Year 2021-2022 which aims to establish guidelines and procedures for its implementation. The CGP aims to guide secondary level students in choosing career tracks that they intend to pursue through informed career choices towards becoming productive and contributing individuals as stated in RA 10533 otherwise known as the Basic Education Act of 2013. This document shall guide all stakeholders in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the CGP for S.Y. 2021-2022. This is issued pursuant to Memorandum No. 00-0520-0030 s. 2020 from the Office of the Undersecretary for Administration (OUA), issued in May 2020, and the Joint Memorandum issued on September 21, 2020 by the OUA, the Office of the Undersecretary for Curriculum and Instruction (OUCI), and the Office of the Undersecretary for Field Operations (OUFO) on the Announcement of the Transfer of Management and Supervision of the Career Guidance Program to Curriculum and Instruction Strand, hence, the issuance of the Career Guidance Program (CGP) for S.Y. 2021-2022. This shall be implemented in all public elementary and secondary schools nationwide for S.Y. 2021-2022.

Career Expo: Horizon for Grade 11 and Grade 12 Students
Calatagan Senior High School proudly conducted the Career Expo: Horizon, an inspiring event designed for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students to explore and envision their future career paths. The activity served as a platform for learners to express their aspirations, gain valuable insights, and strengthen their determination to achieve their goals.
One of the highlights of the event was the students’ participation in wearing attire that represents their dream careers. From aspiring doctors, engineers, teachers, entrepreneurs, to public servants, the activity allowed students to creatively showcase their ambitions while boosting their confidence and sense of purpose. The program was further enriched by the presence of distinguished alumni of Calatagan Senior High School who shared their personal journeys, challenges, and successes. Through their inspirational speeches, the alumni motivated students to persevere, work hard, and remain committed to their dreams despite obstacles. Their real-life experiences served as powerful reminders that success is achievable through dedication, discipline, and passion.
The Career Expo: Horizon not only celebrated students’ dreams but also provided meaningful guidance as they prepare for life beyond senior high school. This initiative reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing future-ready individuals who are empowered to pursue their chosen paths with confidence and determination.

Guidance Counseling Program
The Guidance Counseling Program of Calatagan Senior High School, led by Ms. April Anzaldo, plays a vital role in supporting the academic, personal, and social development of students. Through her dedicated leadership, the program provides a safe and nurturing environment where learners are guided in making informed decisions, managing challenges, and achieving their full potential.
Under Ms. Anzaldo’s supervision, various counseling services are offered, including individual counseling, group sessions, career guidance, and values formation activities. These services aim to address students’ concerns, promote mental and emotional well-being, and strengthen their interpersonal skills.
The program also conducts regular orientations, seminars, and workshops that focus on topics such as stress management, self-awareness, goal setting, and responsible decision-making. These initiatives help students become more resilient, confident, and prepared for future academic and life pursuits.
Through the continuous efforts of the Guidance Counseling Program, Calatagan Senior High School ensures that every learner is supported holistically, fostering not only academic success but also personal growth and well-being.
