CLAVERIA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF CLAVERIA NHS
A remote barangay of Claveria, Barangay Malilitao which is approximately ten kilometers away from the town proper, was chosen as sight for a National High School.
At first, there was a problem as regards to its location. The communal property of the barangay and the elementary school site were the choices. Yet, there were projected problems if one of these two locations would push through. On the other hand in availability of site would mean relocation of the project to another barangay.
It was coincidence! A civic- minded couple, bona-fide resident of Barangay Malilitao, Claveria Cagayan, in the person of Mr.& Mrs. Celso Ancheta ,Sr. had their vacation from Hawaii during the time when the aforementioned problem afflicted the concerned forerunners of the construction of the building.
