1. Name and History
Cambaguio Elementary School is one of the hinterland schools of Bais City South District, Bais City. It is located in Barangay Cambaguio, Bais City. It has 9 regular teachers including the school manager. The school has enrollees from Kinder to Grade VI coming from different sitios namely Dinagsangan, Mangkabayo, Odiongan, and Cambaguio itself.
It has an area of 9, 594 square meter donated lot. Standing on it are 5 unit building with a total of seven classrooms in which three need major repair. The school is approximately 10 kilometers from the highway.
Upon reaching the place called Odiongan, you will take a walk for about half an hour due to its hilly nature and considerable distance. Along the way to school, there are trees that give shade to the one walking.
The school is located on top of a hill. It is surrounded with many fruit trees such as mango, santol, jack fruit, and macopa. There are also two huge Narra trees that stand along the vicinity of the school.
2 . The Curriculum
The school follows the prescribed K-12 Basic Education Curriculum in Kinder to Grade VI.
3. The Personnel
The school is headed by MRS. ARLENE A. AMBOS, teacher III, with 8 regular teachers.
4. Special Features
Gulayan sa Paaralan - was introduced and materialized with the help of the parents of Cambaguio Elementary School and luckily supported by the City agriculturist.
Brigada Eskwela - the school, in its desire to provide a healthful, safe and favorable learning venue to all who stay in school conduct yearly Brigada Eskwela - a week long activity that includes cleaning and doing minor repairs - that is made possible through the combined help of the teachers, parents, pupils and other stakeholders to comply with the requirements of the Department of Education to conduct School Repair and Maintenance Week. This is done every third week of May to prepare the school for the different academic and extra-curricular activities.
School Health and Nutrition Program - any educational system must adopt a health and nutrition program for the people who interact in that institution or the school. Therefore, school health and nutrition program should be effectively implemented to ensure that the children's stay in the school is healthful and beneficial to their growth and development.
Nutrition Month Celebration - yearly, our school joins the entire nation in celebrating Nutrition Month through a simple activity. During the month of July, the children, teachers and parents are conducting a short opening and closing program in relation to the said celebration and that is to promote an awareness and realization of the theme.
Remedial Instruction - different activities were done on the conduct of remedial instructions such as individual teaching for slow learners and enrichment activities using differentiated instruction with the corresponding instructional materials given to the pupils who lag behind other pupils.
5. Physical Facilities
Buildings - there are 7 existing classrooms from Kinder to grade VI, a computer room, a library and a school head's office. The rooms in grades IV-VI need major repair.
Industrial Arts - the school has no IA laboratory.
Toilet - the school has 2 functional comfort rooms. Spring water supply is available.
Medical/Dental - medical/Dental services are available for the pupils through the nurses from the Local Government of Bais.
Laboratory - the school has no laboratory. For the class to perform an experiment, they do it either inside or outside their classroom.
Guidance - the school has no guidance center.
School Furniture - as of now, we have enough tables and chairs for every classroom.
School Equipment - Science and Math equipment is available in Cambaguio Elementary School.
Textbooks - the ratio of textbook per pupils in all learning areas is 1:1. except in grade VI where it doesn't have books in AP, Music, Arts & TLE.
Teaching aids - teachers are given materials based on their teaching needs. Funding sources are SBM grant and financial downloading of MOOE.
