Year 1909 when a small room was established inside Calawitan chapel to be used by the grade one pupil under the supervision of Mrs. Antonia Quijano.
Then 1914, two classrooms were added. The other room was used by the grade two pupils who were handled by the same teacher. In 1924 two more rooms and an additional teacher were added in the person of Mrs. Deogracias Marques who own the land where the rooms were built.
The classes were temporarily stopped because of the Second World War 1941 to 1945.
In 1949 starts the new beginning for Calawitan, classes were conducted again. This time they have grades one to five, one section each. The first commencement exercise of Calawitan Elementary School was in 1962.
From 1962 to 1965 they have classes for secondary level also. The school was formally open on the property of Mr. Donato Lopez who eventually donated the land. Elementary and High School pupils shared the same facilities.
Mr. Damasco Roque and Carlos Bernardo was the very first administrator of this school before the system of education was made. Mrs. Consolacion B. Valmonte was the principal of the school having six teachers one for each grade level, followed by Mr. Victoriano C. Victoria in 1984 until 1991. Teachers doubled in number because of the increase in enrolment. The increased in enrolment prompted the administration to separate the Elementary level that needed a wider space to accommodate the rapid increase of population. The total land area of the school up to now has 9976 sq.m.
Mr. Romeo R. Dionisio replaces Mr. Victoriano C. Victoria when he retires. Mr. Dionisio became the administrator from 1991 to 1998. In 1998 to 2000, it was Mr. Rolando Galicia next was Mr. Efren V. Dimla from 2001-2005 by this time there were 13 teachers under his administration. When Mr. Dimla were transferred to other school Mr. Alfonso Manahan became the principal of Calawitan Elementary School from 2005-2007. After his retirement, Mr. Efren V. Dimla returned as school administrator. Mr. Efren V. Dimla became the administrator from 2007-2015.
When Mr. Efren V. Dimla retires, Marilou M. Pangilinan, Ph.D. became the Teacher-in-Charge from 2015-2017.
Next to Marilou M. Pangilinan, Ph.D. , Raulito C. Mallari, Ph.D. serve only from May 2017 to January 2018 as School Head for the were rotations among principals in the Division of Bulacan.
Since the school is intended for Principal item, Teresita A. Chan, PhD, Principal II was assigned to manage Calawitan Elementary.
Presently, Calawitan Elementary School has fourteen classrooms, with 1 ICT Room and clinic. There is also on going construction of building. The teaching staff of the school is consist of 1 Master Teacher II , 1 Master Teacher I, 7 Teacher III and 4 Teacher 1. There is also 1 national funded Administrative Officer II and 3 utility personnel and 1 security personnel.
