BACK TO WHERE IT ALL STARTED

Busay Elementary School was established in 1965 with the help of the Teniente Del Barrio, Simeon Rosaldo . It was formerly called Busay Primary School where only Grades 1 to 4 classes were offered .Among the teachers at that time were Mr. Juanito Del Mar and Mrs. Antisoda ( first name can't be remembered by the interviewee).

With the growing of population in the place, the school then offered classes in 5th and 6th grade and became a complete elementary school. Mr. Felomino Cadutdut, former Teniente Del Barrio, donated a piece of land for the school at Sitio Graje, Busay, Cebu City.

Since then, the school had no problems until one day in the year 1994, a landslide occurred and buried some students who were having their lunch at that time. Due to the incident, some classes were temporarily held at Busay Gym in 1997. Grades one and two were left in the old school site at Graje, Busay, Cebu City. While the rest were having classes in the temporary makeshifts at the sports complex in Lower Busay, Cebu City.

In 2009, a new school building was built in Lower Busay, Cebu City( just a few meters away from the sports complex). Due to this, classes in all levels were then held in the new school building at the new school site.

In 2012, after an earthquake, engineers with the LGU's found some cracks in the building which caused some classrooms to be abandoned.
