BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL
The first school built in Buliran was just a small nipa hut donated by civic-spirited folks. Few children regardless of their age went on schooling. Subjects taught were reading, writing and arithmetic. In spite of the lack of trained teachers and school facilities, children were able to read and write.
After the World War II, education was improved. Year 1949, a primary school was built. The school headed by Mr. Alonzo. Two teachers taught in the said school. As years went by, the place progresses thus the number of pupils increased. The school became a complete primary school and in 1952, a complete elementary school. To rename some of the school heads who managed the school were Mr. Alonzo (deceased), Mr. Alejandria (deceased), Mr. Dela Fuente (deceased), Mr. Eugenio F. Sebastian (deceased), Mr. Manuel Sarmiento (deceased), Mr. Luis Libunao, Miss Natalia Ventura, Mr. Rolando Palomo (deceased), Mrs. Guadalupe Doctor, Mr. Alberto Bautista, Mrs. Eriberta T. Garcia, Mrs. Anne P. Castillo, Mrs. Romana V. Salonga, Mr. Ireneo Cruz, Mr. Dante S. Liongson and succeeding school heads. The present school principal is Mrs. Laura Z. Regulto who has transferred last August 16, 2021.
At present, Buliran Elementary School has a total population of 722 pupils from kindergarten to Grade VI with a school head, 24 teachers, 1 Utility and 1 Security. Of the 24 teachers, 2 are Master Teachers, 17 are Teacher III, 2 are Teacher II and 3 are Teacher I.
The school is said to be one of the most progressive schools in the district. It is known for its accomplishments not only in academic aspects but also in sports and in related programs. Graduates from this school are those that everyone can be proud of.
