Junior High School (JHS) comprises grades 7 to 10 (ages 12 to 16). Students who complete elementary education at grade 6 automatically progress to JHS – there are no separate entry requirements at both the junior and senior secondary levels.

General Academic Strand (GAS)

General Academic Strand or GAS is one of the four strands of the Academic Track for Senior High School. Unlike the other career-specific strands, GAS is designed for students who are not decided yet on what course they want to take in college.
