School Profile

Barangay Basak is located (5) kilometers away from the city proper and is situated around a sugarcane plantation where most of the populace derived its income from being tenants/laborers of Manuel L. Teves Inc. Although majority of the parents' desire is to let their children finish a course or even at least High School, most of them failed due to poverty.

              The school has an area of 1. 2680 sq. m., purchased by the municipality of Bais on December 14, 1949, in the amount of Php. 1, 2680  from Mr. and Mrs. Andres Mendiola. However, the personnel from the Department of Agrarian Reform surveyed the school's land area which consists of a total of 1. 2680 sq. m.

               Basak Integrated School (formerly Basak Elementary School and Javier Laxina I Memorial High School-Basak Extension) is one of the newly established Integrated Schools in the Schools Division of Bais City which has 22 school personnel from Kindergarten to Senior High School. A full time Principal with the Assistant School Head and one (1) Administrative Assistant in collaboration with the internal and external stakeholders. The school has an enrollment of two hundred eighty-three (283) from kindergarten to Grade VI and two hundred forty (240) learners from Grade 7-12 a total of five hundred twenty-three (523) learners with seven (7) school buildings. Only three (3) buildings are considered in good conditions, the rest are already infested with termites and wood weevil.

                The School Improvement Plan (SIP) printed document will guide us all on what to do, so that we could deliver and implement our services and give the proper education to our children in school for quality  education. This is for the betterment of our school children, the teachers whose dedication and commitment will grow, and the community people that helps and cooperate making Basak Integrated School a better school, a school that is child friendly.
