Dapdap Elementary School started in 1958 situated at Sitio Caldera, Brgy. Dapdap, Mabalacat City, Pampanga. The present total enrolment of 1,665 includes Kinder-Grade 6 for the School Year 2020-2021 under the leadership of Ruby C. Laquindanum. The school also offers Alternative Learning System for the out of school youth open for those who are willing to continue their studies. The school has a staff of 52 which includes Principal, 46 teachers, 1 Administrative Officer, 1 Administrative Assistant and 3 utility workers.
The school has total of 15 building and 28 classrooms. This includes the ICT room where pupils can do the hands-on activities in their computer lessons. Another is the library room where pupils can stay to read and play some available educational materials. It also has the spacious covered court and large stage where different school programs and activities take place. The school has its own canteen which caters the students during their recess time.
Dapdap Elementary school is well known for its academic achievements of pupils and teachers in different learning areas. A wide variety of extra-curricular activities are offered to pupils like sports, clubs in different subjects, drum and lyre, school paper writers, and school councils.
It is the school’s aim that each child reaches his/her full potential academically but also personally, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually in preparation for becoming responsible citizens of the future. This is achieved by giving pupils equal access to a program of education that is tailored to meet their individual needs and giving them access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Central to the school’s vision is the belief that children must be taught respect for themselves, for others and for the environment in which they live.
Dapdap Elementary School believes in a strong partnership with parents, stakeholders and has always had strong links with the local community. These links are fostered through many initiatives every year.
It is a very environmentally friendly school which defined as a school having appropriate facilities, well-managed classrooms, available school-based health supports, and a clear, fair disciplinary policy. It welcomes, nurtures, and educates all children regardless of their gender, physical, intellectual, socio-economic, emotional, linguistic and other characteristics.
