Decades and long ages had passed since the brass and iron foundations of Afusing Elementary School were launched and built with great visions among the community, the dreamers and the government. History and time are the paramount witnesses of how it evolved from a simple building blocks of classrooms into a panoramic field planted with vital canons, indispensable learning, standard classrooms, advance facilities and credos of education. This school had conquered the helter- skelter of educational endeavours to pave its way in becoming the epicenter and the core of excellence in the entire district.

Now, with its 18 classroom teachers, 1 Non-Teaching staff and a School Principal as assets, the school grew in its most innovative and pioneering version. The school started from its humble beginning having limited wooden classrooms, traditional wooden arm chairs and inadequate school facilities. As time swiftly passed and days gone, former and current school heads were challenged to bring their own versions and artistic way of modification. From a nipa-hut cogon mini- function hall made through bayanihan from the parents and community rose a concrete and modern gymnasium that caters huge or small school-related activities and serves as one of the school’s assets. Programs like fund-raising activities were also steered up as main source of funds. It’s wide and vast verdant ground was landscaped and installed with long covered hallway for learners’ protection during hot and rainy seasons. Moreover, through the gritty and determined mind-set of the current leaders and through the assertiveness of the teachers and staffs, school facilities were gradually became upgraded and advanced. From heavy wooden chairs inside the classrooms, now are brand new and light quality chairs which  every learner enjoys.

The school’s ground is filled with colourful flowers that bloom in an attractive flowerboxes which are painted with flamboyant and flashy colors. In the south-east of the school ground calmly stands a robust century tree that attests the school’s vitality, its durability over the years. The tree remains and shows an unwavering might to serve and becomes an emblem of allegiance and constancy to the ground where it was planted and has grown.  Many have eventually changed over-the-hill and over the years, behind these changes are brilliant minds with great visions. Every masterpiece made inside its great portal was made with pure ambition and dedication with the goal to benefit everyone. Afusing Elementary School is a harbour of intellects and has created professionals from the different fields. It has compelled and transformed thousands of dreamers and has placed them to where they are now. Truly, just like the century tree, this school has hurdled and travelled a long journey over-the-hill and its story deserves the world to know.
