Geography / Historical Background

Adlaon Integrated School in a located in the hinterland of Talamban, 38 klometers from the heart of the city.

Adlaon Elementary School was opened in 1946. The school was located on a parcel of land with an area of 5,534 sq. m. with a Tax Declaration GR 2K-001-0024 donated by the late spouses Francisco and Fausta Gabud Bontuyan with a Deed of Donation. As per records, a letter of a certain Romeo R. Reyes was sent to Superintendent Lenilo B. Oliva last June 7, 1999, expressing the desire of the heirs of the donor to recover the monetary equivalent of the said lot based on the prevailing market value of the lots within the vicinity, however, the latest heirs of the lot declared that the said property had been donated by their ancestors long time ago, thus they process the donation papers and furnished a copy to the school.

The first Grade 1 teacher was Mr. Maksimbol followed by Mr. Pedrosa. The class was done in the house of Inse Tonia Soquite. The next succeeding years, other Grade levels were opened until it became a complete elementary school. At present, the school has 14 elementary teachers and 1 Kindergarten teacher.

Adlaon Barangay High School was established in June, 1980 – 1981. The school was managed by elementary school heads until the arrival of the chain of Secondary School Administrators pioneered by Dr. Eva Gladys Vaño, followed by Mrs. Rosario Catacutan, Mr. Procesimo Leyson, Mr. Cipriano Balili, Dr. Neftali Deligero, Mrs. Visitation Bautista, Mrs. Lolita Secuya, Mr. Mario Gabuya, Mr. Emiliano Pequero, Mrs. Leonila Cazar, Mrs. Victoria Japitana, Mrs. Ma. Elgie R. Englis, Mrs. Julieta J. Englaterra, Dr. Ma. Felina S. Calledo, Mrs. Jesusima B. Jumalon, and presently Dr. Rosario O. Palanca.

It shared the same ground with the Elementary Department. The Secondary Department has only 13 teachers with full teaching loads considering the number of sections and multiple ancillaries. It is an implementing unit school having an annual budget under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) broken down into Pesonnel Services and MOOE.

School’s Learning Environment

The school has 1 3-storey building for the Senior High School, 1 3-storey building for Junior High School, and 5 single-storey buildings for the elementary department.

The elementary department has an E-Classroom and a library . The Secondary Department has a library, computer and science laboratories, and guidance room.

The school also has 1 Principal’s office.

It has a covered court for multi-purpose functions. And it has its attraction which is the Educational Park. It is divided according to subject areas: Languages, Science, Araling Panlipunan, MAPEH and Values Educ/ ESP. Its design serves the purpose of curriculum enhancement.
