Be Safe or Sorry!

Until when will we be safe?
Since March of 2020 the whole world is in close watch when the vaccine could be made available. The long wait is over since COVID-19 vaccines are now available. Health professionals tell us that once you get vaccinated it does not assure that you will not get infected but in case of infection the assurance is that it will not be severe. Which means in a way the vaccines are effective in protecting us from the effects of the COVID-19 virus. Even if the vaccine does not prevent us from not being infected, its effect is better than no vaccine at all.
On the other hand, studies is still undergoing for vaccines that are compatible to ages raging from eighteen years and below. With the modern technology today, eventually the vaccine for said age group will be available in no time.
Therefore, with the availability of the vaccine, the spread of the COVID-19 virus will soon be controlled. To get vaccinated is to control the spread of the virus and be safe. But people have an option to not get vaccinated since it is their choice but they should take the risk of being a possible carrier of the virus . If we were to choose from do we want to be safe or be sorry?

Which natural remedies to take and avoid for colds, flu and COVID-19
By: Hannah Six
Natural remedies are everywhere these days. From vitamin C to zinc, everyone’s touting their version of a cure for what ails you. And between the COVID pandemic and the coming cold-and-flu season, this conversation is just heating up.
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by all the options, to fall under the spell of well-concealed marketing techniques. But do all these supplements and so-called superfoods really help? Or, could they even be harmful?
Dr. Russell Greenfield , of Novant Health Integrative Medicine share how natural remedies might be useful.
Why are we so drawn to natural remedies?
Brand-new virus, and conventional medical care hasn’t been able to offer many definitive answers. In uncertain times, it’s natural to look for alternatives, to reach for things that make sense to us or offer some degree of comf ort.
Though alluring, even if we had evidence that a vitamin or herbal supplement offered benefits for the common cold or flu, it would be premature — and potentially harmful — to apply that experience to COVID-19.

Due to the wide spreading of the Covid-19 pandemic, some hospitals lack facilities for infected patients so they advise the them to stay at home until they recover from the symptoms. Fortunately the old way of first aid remedies are still known, such as Steam inhalation. Steam inhalation is
one of the most widely used home remedies to soothe and open the nasal passages and get relief from the symptoms of a cold or an sinus infection. Steaming involves the inhalation of water vapor, the warm moist air is thought to work by loosening the mucus in the nasal passages, throat, and lungs.
The main benefit of breathing in moist, warm steam is that it may help ease feelings of irritation and swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages. The moisture may also help thin the mucus in your sinuses, which allows them to empty more easily. Steam inhalation may provide some temporary relief from the symptoms of the common cold, the flu, sinus infections, bronchitis, and nasal allergies. Steam inhalation doesn’t actually kill the virus responsible for the infection. At best, steam inhalation might make you feel a little bit better as your body fights You’re cold. Home remedies are best to use when you can’t purchase medicine, or when hospitals lack space. It may be an old fashioned remedy, but we should all understand that it can be very useful.
