History of Bajet-Castillo High School

Bajet-Castillo High School is a realized dream, a dream-come-true by the couple, Mr. Demetrio L. Bajet Jr. and Mrs. Emma Castillo Bajet. Being an educator herself, Mrs. Emma Bajet, fondly called as ate Emma, together with her ever supportive husband, kuya Jun who is also born from the family of educators, dreamt of providing quality education for their kababayans. They originally planned to put up a school in the ancestral home for Kuya Jun which was located along the main road, but the lot area was not ideal for the requirements of the school so, they sold it instead and bought a bigger lot beside Marciano Del Rosario Memorial Elementary School. Knowing that a public high school will be beneficial for the poor Pulileńos, on January 29, 2007 they donated the lot to the Municipal Government with the condition that it should be used for Barangay High School.

Mr. Efren M. Santiago, the principal then the Sta. Perigrina High School, started to work on with the requirements in establishing a new school. He eagerly accomplished all necessary papers, particularly the Government Permit of the Annex High School which was granted last February 26, 2008

Headed by Mr. Santiago himself, the first day of classes at Bajet-Castillo High School was on June 8, 2008 with only 4 teachers and 157 students. They conducted their classes at a 2- story 4-classroom building which was also donated by the Municipal Government through the effort of Mayor Vicente Esguerra Sr. and Vice Mayor Elpidio Castillo.
