History of the School

Alcala West Central School-Cataraoan Annex started as a small institution with two teachers and 39 pupils’ house in a makeshift building made of light materials. It was opened in 2011 with a Provincial School Board Teacher in the person of Mrs. Karen Bancolita Deleon and Mr. Arnel A. Cardenas as volunteer teacher.

As years passed, enrolment grew bigger. In 2015, the school was transferred to its permanent site where in the Department of Education constructed a one school building with two classrooms and three built in comfort rooms.

The school was primarily established to answer the needs and the right to every child to have an access to basic quality education through quality instruction and supervision. As an institution of learning, it has limited resources and lack of facilities and resources, which are indispensable for more effective teaching and learning process. Several projects has been undertaken through the cooperation and support of the department, parents, Local Government Unit and some civic spirited citizens, but still the school needs more improvement to attain its mission and vision.
