History

Cabatacan West Elementary School was formerly known as Cabatacan West primary school. It was the youngest school in Lasam District but not the smallest and located at southwestern part of Lasam, Cagayan. This school was established in the year 2006 and approved as cabatacan West primary school dated January 1,2006 were there are only 25 enrollees-grade 1 12, and grade 2 13 and it is combination class because there are only one classroom and 1 teacher in the person of Mrs. Virginia S. Guzman.

On the next year, Villaros a. Ambrocio,PhD., the former Principal 2 of Cabatacan Elementary School and Venus l. Dolores,PhD. the district supervisor worked hand in hand in providing and accomplishing all the needed documents in order to become a complete elementary school. It was July 21,2009 this school became a complete Elementary School, a school wherein there were 2 permanent Teacher 1, Head Teacher 1, and 1 Regular Permanent Teacher, and 3 local school board teacher funded Derwin Bolo, Ronnie Rivera,and Roxanne Dianne Acedo.

Through the love, effort and sacrifices of the teaching staff, PTA officials, Brgy officials, Pulpulaan and all stakeholders the first year of complete Elementary was successful and they have 9 graduates.

As time passes by, despite of being young the teaching staff proved that their school is also performing in both curricular and co-curricular aspect..

At present the school has 8 regular permanent teacher 3 including the TIC Mr. Oscar Mendoza Domingo and they have a total enrollment of 125. Everyone knows that this school is located in a hill top area that is why they also called it as a Home of IP Learners because most of the learners are Agays, Igorots, and the Kalingas.
