Installing Windows 11 and Creating Two Primary Partitions (C – 40%, D – 60%)

Step-by-Step Guide to Installing Windows 11
1. Prepare the Installation Media
Use a bootable USB flash drive or DVD with Windows 11 setup files.
Insert it into the computer.
2. Enter BIOS/UEFI and Boot from Media
Restart the computer and press the boot key (e.g., F2, F12, Delete, or Esc).
Change the boot priority to USB/DVD.
Save settings and restart.
3. Start Windows 11 Setup
When the installer loads, choose:
Language to install
Time and currency format
Keyboard or input method
Click Next → Install Now.
4. Enter Product Key
Type your Windows 11 product key (if available) → click Next.
Or choose I don’t have a product key (you can activate later).
5. Select Edition
Choose the correct edition (e.g., Windows 11 Pro, Home, or Education) → click Next.
6. Accept License Terms
Read and tick I accept the license terms → click Next.
7. Choose Installation Type
Select Custom: Install Windows only (advanced) to manually create partitions.
8. Create Partitions
On the Where do you want to install Windows? screen:
Select the unallocated disk space.
Click New and create the C Partition (40%).
Example for 500 GB drive: 200 GB (C).
This will store Windows 11 and apps.
Use the remaining space for the D Partition (60%).
Example: 300 GB (D).
This will store documents and data.
Format both partitions using NTFS.
9. Install Windows 11 on C Drive
Select the C Partition (40%).
Click Next to start the installation.
10. Wait for Installation
Windows will copy files, install features, and restart automatically.
