Get to know our school, our mission, and our commitment to education.
Sabang Elementary School is a public educational institution committed to delivering quality, accessible, and inclusive basic education to all learners. Guided by the policies and standards of the Department of Education, the school continuously strives to develop well-rounded individuals equipped with 21st-century skills, strong values, and a sense of responsibility towards the community and the nation.
Established to serve the educational needs of the local community, Sabang Elementary School remains steadfast in its mission to provide a learner-centered environment that promotes academic excellence, character formation, and lifelong learning. The school upholds the core values of Maka-Diyos, Maka-tao, Makakalikasan, at Makabansa in all its programs and activities.
Sabang Elementary School traces its beginnings to June 1945, when formal education started in a small nipa house locally known as a “bagoongan.” The school was then called Sabang Community School, with an initial enrollment of fifty (50) pupils.
Despite continuous changes in personnel and challenges through the years, the school persisted in its mission to serve the community. In the early part of 1971, Sabang Elementary School officially became a complete elementary school.
The institution is composed of dedicated and competent teachers who work collaboratively with parents, stakeholders, and the local government to ensure a safe, supportive, and conducive learning environment. Through various academic and co-curricular programs, the school aims to nurture learners’ full potential and prepare them for higher levels of education.
Through the years, Sabang Elementary School has consistently produced learners who actively participate and excel in various academic and co-curricular competitions. The school has earned recognition in different levels of competitions, from district to regional level, showcasing excellence in academics, sports, and leadership activities.
The school maintains strong collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Del Gallego, Barangay Officials of Sabang, Parents-Teachers Association (PTA), School Alumni and other education stakeholders and community partners.
Sabang Elementary School envisions producing functionally literate, values-oriented, and globally competitive learners who are ready to face the challenges of the modern world.
