Sta. Rita Primary School was built on July 2002. It was a part of the Government Arroyo’s program for School- Less Barangays. It had only one building with one classroom which served 45 grade one pupils. The former district supervisor Ms. Aurelia Cruz and the former Barangay Captain of Barangay Old Sta. Rita initiated the establishment of the school. After 3 years, another building was constructed with 2 classrooms and was used by Grade 1 and Grade 2 pupils. In mid-2011, another building was constructed with two classrooms occupied by the Grade 3 and grade 4 pupils. The oldest building was then occupied by the Grade 5 class.
The school is situated at Guillerma Village Phase I, St. Rita (Old), San Miguel, Bulacan. Its total land area is 2,882 sq.m. The land was donated to the municipality of San Miguel by ORO Development Corporation headed by its President, Josefina Soriano.
In 2002 the school was a satellite school of Paliwasan Elementary School under the supervision of Mr. Jaime G. Rivera, followed by its successor Mr. Renato dela Cruz who later transferred to other district. After few years, Sta. Rita Primary School became a satellite school of San Vicente Elementary under the supervision of Mr. Rolando Caliwag and thereafter Mr. Arnel Solitario. It was Mr. Arnel L. Solitario who initiated the opening of Kindergarten class, Gr. 4 and Grade 5 classes S.Y 2011-2012 and 2012- 2013 respectively. Year 2013 when Sta. Rita Primary School became Sta. Rita Elementary School under the supervision of Ms. Arleen B. Manuzon. At present, there are seven teachers in the school who are tending Kindergarten to Grade 6 learners under the leadership of Dr. Aldin Caguiat Tanate.
