Elementary education in Bagong Silang, Plaridel, Bulacan started in 1962. Classes were held in chapel with Ms. Angela J. Palileo as the first teacher. There were only grades one and two and classes were combined. This necessitated Mr. and Mrs. Enriquez of Balagtas to donate 2, 000 sq. m. of land to the Barangay of Bagong Silang.
In 1976, the Provincial Government of Bulacan constructed two buildings and this gave way for the increase in enrollment. Eventually, grades one to six were offered and was handled by Mr. Robles.
In 2003, the school management started its Grade Five classes with Mrs. Lissette M. Gregorio as Teacher-In-Charge. The following year, Grade Six level was added and the first graduation/commencement exercise took place.
In 2007, Bagong Silang Elementary School was renamed Lucas N. Domingo Elementary School in honor of the late barangay captain.
At present, Lucas N. Domingo Elementary School has 448 elementary pupils, 15 permanent teachers, 1 utility worker, and is now under the supervision of Mrs. Marissa G. Quintana as Head Teacher II.
