HISTORY OF SAN JOSE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
From the 27 Barangays of Baliwag here is a small and simple but industrialized Barangay of San Jose. The school was established in 1949 where there was only a pre-fab classroom that accommodated primary pupils, San Jose Primary School was the name. It has a total land area of 5,043 sq. m. The building of the school was materialized by the efforts of two civic groups Samahang Damayan and Samahang Walang Tutol and funds accumulated from the philanthropist Dona Rosa Gonzalez Palanca while the land was donated by Don Julian Buyson for school purpose only. In the late 1960’s the primary school became a complete Elementary School and handled by the following School Administrators, Mr. Archimedes Cruz Mr. Amado Eugenio, Mr. Amancio Buenaventura, Mrs. Segunda F. Cruz, Mrs. Leonida C. Ramirez, Mrs. Eufronia Marcelo, Mrs. Gloria E. Bautista, Dr. Daniel V. Ortega, Dr. Jonar C. David, Mr. Teofilo L. Dela Cruz, Mrs. Natividad C. Ocampo, Mrs. Ma. Charito D. Robles-Cruz, Mr. Alejandro R. Fernando III, Mrs. Boots C. De Leon, Mrs. At present the school has a total population of Four Hundred Eighty-Five (485) pupils, sixteen (16) teachers, one (1) Administrative Officer II and one (1) School Principal II in the person of Mrs. Norinda T. Gutierrez.
