Alfred Josef Ortega won in the 2021 Congressional Virtual SciMathLympics held at Taggat Sur Elementary School last July 1, 2021 using the online platform.

Ortega, a Grade VI pupils ranked 4 in Poster - Making Contest - SciMathlympics with his coach, Mr. Marcial G. Ramos Jr.

This years theme of the said activity was "Agham, Pananaliksik, at Teknolohiya; Kabalikat sa Matatag at Maunlad na Pamayanan".

Moreover, these activity aims to enhance learners conceptual understanding on scientific and mathematical concept; develop the scientific and technological skills and environmental awareness of learners following the Inter - Agency Task Force (AITF) Health Protocols and promote academic excellence in science and mathematics through camaraderie and sportsmanship using online platform.

Alfred Josef Ortega, garnered the highest rank among the 24 graduates of Taggat Sur Elementary School (TSES). He graduated as "With High Honors" during the first virtual Closing Exercises last July 16, 2021.

In his message, made emphasis that "Education most have to continue within us though we face many challenges brought by this novel corona virus. Through patience and perseverance, we were able to surpass the hardships in own modular activities with the joint effort of our teachers in preparing needed modules for us to accomplish and most especially the help of our families, for without them the mission and vision of our department could not be realized."

Desiree Joyce Baysa Terren of Batch 74 of Taggat Sur Elementary School, Nurse Supervisor of San Lazaro Hospital graced the graduation ceremony with the theme: "Kalidad ng Edukasyon Lalong Patatagin sa Gitna ng Pandemya" last July 16, 2021 at 3:00 pm.

Terren emphasize the importance of quality education acquired for the nation building and serves as our armor to reached our goals coupled with industry and perseverance, willingness and determination but of course humility and strong belief to God because nothing is impossible through Him.

She reiterated that teachers play an important role in the development of learners but the family nowadays contribute much to the realization of the learners' dreams.
