Maguirig Elementary School, as an integral part of Division of Cagayan, had been at pace with the implementation of the various programs of the National, Regional and Division Offices and as well as the school in promoting the well-being of every pupil of this institution. In its effort to uphold the Department of Education’s thrust of No Child Should Be Left Behind policy, the school engages on activities in the different levels to provide its pupils the necessary tools in learning paving for them the opportunities for their further development.
This is a significant year for the school. It is continuously achieving noteworthy performance in the academics, participating and winning in the competitions, sustaining its programs and projects effectively and is constantly expanding its coverage of catering basic education to a wider scope of clientele. The enrolment increased, projected projects had been implemented, 3 Teachers were promoted to T3, 2 new teachers were accommodated and this performance is attributed to the school’s incessant implementation of the policies, thrusts, and other programs and projects of the Department of Education.

Dela Cruz wins MFOTA Grand Winner
The Metrobank Foundation hails Ms. Antonnette Lim dela Cruz as the Most Outstanding Teacher in Cagayan during the 120th Founding Anniversary Program of SDO Cagayan in SDO Cagayan, Regional Center, Carig, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on July 24,2021.
The five finalists who survived the challenging competition were Mrs. Lalaine Malazzab, Mrs. Levie Baclig, Mrs. Rose Lozano, Mr. Walden Ventura and the grand winner is Ms. Antonnette Lim dela Cruz.
The Search for the Most Outstanding Teacher had undergone different levels namely, documentation, Online demonstration with an on-the-spot announcing of competency. With a one-hour time limit, the tasks of conceptualizing and encoding the semi-detailed lesson plan with slide decks / intervention materials and the submission to complete the time. Not only that, the demonstration teaching is next to be done infront of the panel of judges.
The next level was the Final Interview with the first round of a 30-minute essay to be submitted again to complete the time duration. After which, an oral interview is being done with main questions accompanied with follow-up questions.
The five contenders are already winners. The grand winner will now compete for the next level.
