HISTORY OF TAGUIPORO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Taguiporo Elementary School was established by the late Mr. Roman Galzote, the District Supervisor of Sanchez Mira at that time. Given that Sitio Taguipuro has a small population which did not warrant for a required enrollment, the negotiation was extended to the adjacent sitio of Baleg, Naguburan, Caballebaan, and Labbeng.

The Fuertes family with other relatives like the Cabulisans, Agcolicols, Baltazars, Cacs, and other families, agreed to allow the school administration to have the school building built on their lot. As a result, the school building was eventually built on a portion of lot of Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Cabulisan Fuertes in Taguiporo in the summer of 1968-1969 ready for school year opening.

During the first school year, two rooms of Marcos type school building were ready for occupancy. A teacher from the neighboring school, the Bangan Elementary School was sent to enroll and administer the school for the mean time. Luckily, the number of enrollees warranted the requirement combination class of Grade 1 and 2, resulting to the organization of the first conduct of classes.

Geared with dedication and hardwork of the lone teacher, Taguiporo Elementary School managed to organize a school PTA where meetings and conferences were held during off hours. The elected officers of the said organization devoted their selves wholeheartedly to help achieve the school provide quality education to the pupils despite of the high need for improvement.

Aside from the PTA, OSY also worked hand in hand with the school to make it more conducive and have a brighter learning atmosphere and was eventually improved little by little.

As time went by, Taguiporo Elementary School continued to improve: from number of teachers to number of students to number of school facilities and to number of stakeholders. Right now, it has an enough number of teachers, headed by Mrs. Emmalyn L. Baltazar, who is always committed to provide pupils quality education that will stabilize their beings towards the attainment of their goals.
