History

Bagu is one of the eighteen(18) Barangay of the Municipality of Pamplona blessed with natural resources and an industrious, creative, and resourceful human resources. The community could be one of the economically stable barangays in town.

In the desire of the Barangay Officials to provide the basic education of their children, they took the initiative to acquire a lot where the school was erected. According to information gathered and records on file in school, the present school site was donated by Mr. Emilio Saludares, a constituent of Barangay Bagu to the Municipality of Pamplona for the exclusive use of the Bagu Elementary School.

Sometimes in 1947, the first school building was erected on the said parcel of land. Ever since the founding of Bagu Elementary up to the present, the school site is being occupied by the school mentioned above.

The competitive Bagu Elementary School is located 321 meters away from the national road. Upon entering the campus, is the newly built Pergola. At present, there are 6 buildings in the campus. The Bagong Lipunan School Building(Type III) and the Army type building are the first to be seen. At the Northern part of the campus is a 3-room Bagong Lipunan School Building(Type III). Beside it is the Principal’s Office. At the Southern part of the campus, you can find the Cariῆo Building, Marcos Building and the gymnasium. At the back, is the School Garden.

We are proud to tell that Bagu Elementary School is one among the beautiful and unique schools in Pamplona District. This is due to the collaborative efforts of the teaching force, PTA officials, Barangay Council and the whole populace as well.
