SUMMARY ON CANTEEN REPORTS

I. INTRODUCTION

The school is one of the avenues wherein the pupils would learn good eating habits and a good teacher-pupil relationship can do much to redirect the pupils ways regarding their choice of food.

Nutritious foods are being sold to make sure that the pupils health is taking care of.

II. OBJECTIVES

The existence of the school canteen in Tagao Elementary School has the following objectives

1. To make sure that the pupils eat nutritious, clean and safe foods while in school.

2. To serve as an income generating activity for the school.

III. OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES

As per DepEd order No.8,S 2007,the Revised Implementing Guidelines on the Operation and Management of the school in the the Public Elementary and Secondary School, the income of the canteen have been allotted as follows:

A. Supplementary to Feeding Program-35%

Delicious and nutritious meals were provided below normal pupils.The ingredients needs were purchased out of 25% in the school canteen proceeds.

B. School Clinic Fund-5%

The School clinic fund has been used to purchased emergency medicines, cotton, ect.

C. Faculty Development Fund- 15%

This amount was utilized by the school during contest to defray expenses of pupils and coaches registrations and fare in going and from the contest venue.

D. School Operational Fund- 25%

The school operational fund was utilized to defray the expenses during school improvement.

E. H.E. Instructional Fund- 10%

Instructional fund was utilized to purchased instructional materials like plates, glasses, spoons, forks, ect.

B. Revolving Fund- 10%

Revolving fund was utilized to defray the expenses when there are visitors of the school and to purchased additional amenities of the school.

I. RESULT/ IMPACT

Generally, the school canteen have been proven to be very useful in terms of pupils’ welfare. These are the sources of nutritious and safe foods for the pupils and teachers.

The presence of the canteen is also big help to the school in the generation of funds.

II. CONCLUSION

The operation of the canteen is very important part of the school’s activity. It can contribute to the development of certain values as well as academic and co- curricular activities of the pupils are being enhanced. Financially speaking, the school canteen is a very big help to the school operations specially in terms of pupils development.
