History

Magapit Elementary School has a very humble beginnings. It first started in the school year 1975-1976 with a lone teacher with combination classes from Grade I-IV. It continued to have combination classes until it increased its enrolment in the school year 1986-1987. In 1988, it opened its intermediate grade levels. The school increases its enrolment from time to time. From a makeshift room in its beginning, it transferred to its present site. The lot was donated by the late Don Mariano Corpuz with an area of 10,000 sq.m.. From here many buildings were built and there were six buildings constructed in school with 13 classrooms and with one extra room which was concerted into a Home Economics room and later converted into E-room. Now we have sixteed classes(16). We have also a new three-classroom buiding furnished with blackboards, lights and tiled comfort rooms.

The construction of a two-storey six-classroom building is on-going. This new building will be for those grades/classes whose rooms are not so conducive to the teaching-learning process.

This year we jave a total enrolment of 503 pupils. The teaching staff is composed of two (2) Master Teachers, fifteen (14) Teacher 3's and one (1) Teacher 2 and headed by a Principal IV. In support to the school problems and concerns, various stakeholders are always tapped for immediate resolutions of whatever concern is at hand.
