Catayauan Elementary School is situated nearby the Cagayan River of the Northern Point of Cagayan. It is one of the biggest school that stook in the 1930’s.

The land area of the school where it stand was donated by different person with who in other way make the realization as learning institution. With those kindhearted individuals, Ines Quicho, Arsenia Dorado, Alipio Dorado and Jose Dorado, the school started its journey as learning situation in the year 1935.

Through the willingness of the donors and through the efforts of the Barrio Captain, Rodolfo Barien and the Disrict Supervisor, Principal Agapito A. Balatico. Catayauan Elementary School claimed its legitimacy as owner upon formally signing the Deed of Donation in the year 1971 of October 26.

Its wide land area of about 1.5374 sq.m., Catayauan E/S was developed through the collaboration effect of the generous benefactors the PTA and the community.

Until now, its progress and its name is conserve through the continuing efforts of the benevolent benefactors , the PTA, the community, the LGU and the DepEd in particular.
