Year 2003, Tucalana Primary School was established through the initiative of Tucalana Barangay Council headed by the Barangay Captain Atty. Florentino C. Abadilla, with the supervision of Arthur P. Agluba, Schools District Supervisor of Lal-lo North District and Mrs. Yolanda A. Alvarez being the lone teacher ( Grade I) and at the same time the Teacher In- Charge .
The only classroom on that time ,was for Grade one class was erected on a purchased lot measuring 4348 square meter funded by the barangay council. In the succeeding school years, two classrooms were added for Grades two and three classes with Mrs. Jenelyn Garcia as the class adviser. Due to the unexpected issue, Tucalana Primary School was closed for almost ten years.
However, in compliance with the DepEd Program concerning about having a school in every barangay, Tucalana Primary School was reopened in the year 2013 through the encouragement and supervision of Dr. Roberta V. Antolin, the Public Schools District Supervisor of Lal-lo Central District with the initiative of Barangay Captain Edgar Edwardo Antonio Sr. together with his ever supportive councilors, parents and stakeholders, and Mrs.Lilybeth M. Pernada being the Teacher In- Charge.
Due to the increasing number of enrolees, Tucalana Primary School, became a complete elementary school, named having a complete classes and a six class advisers headed by a School Head Teacher 3 in the person of Lorna R. serrano.
School Year 2020- 2021, additional two classrooms intended for Grades 5 and 6 classes were built donated by the FCCFFI.
At present, Tucalana Elementary school is headed by an Officer In- Charge,, Mrs. Nelie A. Vinagrera, T3.
