Welcome to Bical Elementary School website. It is another avenue for our clienteles, especially the parents, learners and all stakeholders to have an easy access to the programs and activities of the School. As a remote learning institution, the School is thriving to make available the necessary service that it could offer for the holistic growth and development of the learners. Anchored with the DepEd goals, vision and mission, the School is trying to meet the demands of the modern times. In terms of physical, physiological, mental, psychological, emotional, intellectual and spiritual facets of the learners’ development, the school is making its best in order to address whichever among these aspects needs enhancement.

Bical Elementary School is a house to 9 brilliant teachers and 213 determined, motivated and aspiring learners. Supportive parents and stakeholders are the backbone of our institution, who in one way or the other make learning and teaching process more engaging, effective and productive.

At our School, we are highly committed to deliver the best education we could possibly give to our learners, preparing them to be as competent as can be when they go to High School. We take responsibility in preparing the young minds to be armed with the necessary skills they need to be more confident in battling life’s struggles especially in taking the road towards the achievement of their goals in life.

A STRONG WOMAN WITH A STRONG WILL

Mrs. Marife San Felipe Casilao Columna PhD. was born on July 6, 1983 in Minalabac, Camarines Sur. Married to Mr. Gerrymar Bayudan Columna, who is also a man of service, made her to dream and to live on with her aspirations in life both a dedicated parent. A great mother to her children and a loving wife to her husband.

She is a teacher and a leader who is passionate about learning, having masters and doctorate degree at Lyceum of Aparri.

She began her profession in September 15, 2005 as Teacher I in the DepEd. Because of her perseverance and being outrageous she always put herself on top. In 2015 she was adjudged as The Most Outstanding Teacher of the Municipality of Lal-lo. Hence, it does not stop there, she continued her career even there are myriad of challenges which she had encounter. She became a Teacher-In-Charge at San Antonio Elementary School for one Academic Year and as Head Teacher I at Naguillian Elementary School for almost 5 years. Her hard work and dedication paid off as she passed the National Qualifying Examination for School Heads in 2017. And in 2019 she was awarded as The Most Outstanding School Head in the Municipality of Lal-lo. She was promoted as Principal I in January 20, 2021. It is really a manifestation from her favorite adage: “A man who loses today, will win tomorrow”. At the age of 37, I can say that success is already in her hands.

It really took courage and determination to drive a person to the right path. Her walks of life was not easy. She needs to cross the river with bare foot to get what she is aiming for.

Her abilities in management and work ethics are really admirable. She make sure that important things are accomplished properly. Delegating things done, a lot faster. This is also a way of training, mentoring and coaching others on how to not only learn, but improve in doing their work efficiently and effectively. Truly her good leadership and beautiful soul leads her to another milestone in her life and career.
