A parent-teacher association is a formal organization composed of parents, teachers and staff that is intended to facilitate parental participation in a school.
The PTA support and speak on behalf of children in the school, in the community, and before government groups and other organizations that make decisions affecting children. They help parents develop the skills they need to raise and protect their children.
