History of Lemu Elementary School
Lemu Elementary School was established on June, 1902. It has a total land area of four
thousand eight hundred ninety-one (4 891) square meters. It is located between barangay Inga and Divisoria and situated between Carague Lake and Cagayan River. A school that provides quality basic education to all school age from kindergarten to grade six.
At present, Lemu Elementary School has a total population of two hundred twenty-eight (228). It has nine (9) instructional rooms and two (2) non-instructional rooms utilized for the office of the principal and school learning resource center (SLRC). All the classrooms have shared built-in toilets but need repair.
There are ten (10) nationally funded teachers; one (1) Master Teacher II item, one (1) Master Teacher I item; nine (9) Teacher III items and headed by a Principal III . Most of the teachers attended the graduate school and all of them are veteran teachers.
One of the concerns of the school is malnutrition. There are thirty-two (32) wasted and severely wasted pupils. The School Based Feeding Program (SBFP) is organized to address malnutrition through the financial grant of the DepEd, school canteen gain/profit and the proceeds of the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP).
The Child Protection Committee (CPC) is organized by the school to ensure the safety and protection of every school learner.
