History

Mabuttal Elementary School stands tall in a two- hectare land east of the provincial road going to Ballesteros, Centro. This land was a donation of a civic- spirited citizens in the name of the late Pasencia Uclos and Pedro Estalita.

Like any school in its beginning, pupils were housed in a semi-concrete building at the heart of the site. But the housing erected for the purpose was not enough for the enrolled pupils. Another house for the same purpose was used in Mabuttal West to accommodate more pupils. This was owned by the late Santiago Ulanimo Umblas .The establishment of the school was made thru the effort of the late Ballesteros District Supervisor Miss Priscilla S. Fernandez and the founding was on January 1, 1948. Other teachers followed.
