Along time ago according to the first people who had lived in this place, In the year 1896 , there is one place in Baggao, Cagayan where hunters lived.

The Hunters always looked for food and stayed in the woods until they've found foods. One day, as they were looking for food, they saw a river full of sea shells called " agurung" in ilocano.
