Brief History of the School
Based on gathered information from old residents of Plaza, the school had started as an informal school, having no name and with a classroom made up of nipa, constructed by the barangay folks.
The first teacher assigned was Mr. Brosas. Mr. Brosas did not finished one year, he was transferred to another school. He was replaced by Mr. Ponciano Cartagena and lasted for several years.
The school originally lacated at western part of barangay on top of the hill until 1960. When the provincial Road opened, it is then that Plaza Primary School transferred along the Provincial Road where it is located now.
It was Mr. Ponciano Cartagena who opened and named the school as Plaza Primary School in 1960.
The school now is manned by two dedicated teachers. The present school population is 35. The teachers and pupils are all residing within the barangay.
The progress and development of both academic and physical aspects of the school is reflected with the collaborative effort of the teaching staff, PTA, NGO's, Barangay officials and well-to-do families in the community for their untiring effort.
