ANNAFATAN ES DREAM INVOLVE LEAD
Just along the provincial road, 40 kilometers away from the quaint city of Tuguegarao and having an area of 400,000m2 lushly covered with trees, it was then named Annafatan Community School.
The school came into existence when the land owner and other barrio folks initiated cleaning the place, thus removing some of the acacia trees way back 1937. After sometime, a bamboo-walled and cogon-roofed building was created. The school was then started to operate with few pupils and a teacher.
As time passed by, pupils’ population became bigger because pupils from grade five and grade six of the nearby barangay were studying here since they only catered primary schooling, so an additional teacher were hired in the place. By that time, the school was formerly named Annafatan Community School in the roster of schools in the Division of Cagayan.
After three decades of endeavor, the school was declared Annafatan Elementary School with six teachers manned by a school head under the banner of Amulung West District. A complete elementary it is, the school offers grade one to six classes to its more than 100 pupils.
In the school year 2009-2010, the school added a kindergarten classes which was patiently catered by a volunteer teacher (for the meantime) due to scarcity of funds. Nevertheless, in S.Y. 2012-2013, a permanent kindergarten teacher was finally hired.
At present, the school has 157 pupils from kindergarten to Grade VI, headed by a School Principal II with 7 committed and dedicated teachers who are occupying different teaching positions such as Master Teacher II (1), Teacher III (4), Teacher II (1) and Teacher I (1). As of now, the school has six academic classrooms, 1 makeshift building for kindergarten and 1 e-classroom.
In terms of projects and programs implemented, the school is very lucky recipient of overflowing support from its different stakeholders.
