The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) is a great help when it comes to supporting the projects of the school. The sharing of efforts, time and even money materializes the school’s activities. But, in order to keep the association active and alive, it needs a harmonious relationship among its members. In this case, the teachers play a vital role.
The PTA launches its projects, School Gardening and Tree Planting. These projects aim to provide fresh vegetables ready for consumption by the gardeners during this time of pandemic. It saves much money in buying vegetables at very expensive price.
The PTA also plants fruit-bearing trees inside the school, near the fence surrounding the campus. All the teachers, together with all the PTA Officials plant a fruit-bearing tree of their own. They are obliged to take care of it until such time that it surely lives.
The activities help to maintain the cleanliness of the school ground because parents come to school regularly to visit their gardens and fruit trees. It also strengthens the bonds among the teachers and parents. But most especially, the activity helps to save lives because these trees aid in preventing flood and soil erosion.
It is definitely an earth friendly activity!
The Maluyo Elementary School (MES) family wholeheartedly says THANK YOUto the REX Bookstore, a well-known distributor and publisher of books, for donating a great number of books and other reading materials for Kinder and up to Grade 6. These materials greatly helps not only the teachers but most especially the children to learn more information which they can use in their studies. With the limited number of books coming from the government, these supplemental reading materials surely open the minds of the learners in exploring a wider horizon.
The MES family is also deeply indebted to Rain Aldrich T. Ramos, a Grade 6 pupil, for he is the key why the school become one among the recipients of books from the said bookstore. Rain, a constant honor pupil sent an email requesting the company to donate books to MES for the schoolchildren and teachers to use. Fortunately, his wish not only for himself but for the school in general was granted.
The benefactors of this event assure the REX Bookstore and Rain Aldrich T. Ramos, that these reading materials will serve as instruments to gain more learnings for a brighter future.
Rest assured that their efforts will not be put in vain. The books and their minds will be opened!
“We would like to be known as law-abiding citizens and not troublemakers.” The Samahang Ilocano (SI) Fraternity members said.
MES salutes the members of the SI Fraternity for coming to school and clean the school ground. They come to school early bringing with them cleaning materials and grass cutters. Camaraderie is seen among them as they help each other in cleaning every grassy corner of the school.
The activity is headed by Kagawad Lloyd U. Collado and the SK President Allen Rey B. Balisi.
Thank you brethren, may your tribe increase!
