KAPANICKIAN NORTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL is one of the Schools of Allacapan North District situated in a far flung area with green meadows, rice fields and a verdant hills and mountains at the back of the school. The school is also 4 km away from the nearest Public Elementary School, 3.5 km away from the nearest Private Elementary School, 4km away from the nearest Public Secondary School and 9 km away from the nearest Private Secondary School. It is 9 kilometers away from the Poblacion, 9.5 kilometers west of the District Office and 109 kilometers away from the schools Division Office.

KNES trace its history back over 60 years to the original school room of the late 19th century which is standing on top of a hill. It was a NIpa Hut one room able to hold perhaps 10-15 learners. It was a multi grade school where it facilitated from grades 1 to 3. They named Kapanickian Norte Primary School, located at western part of Allacapan, Cagayan lower part of Apayao.
Year 1965, number of enrollees increases. The school was developed where they built out of light materials and they added grade 4 to facilitate.
In 1989, a generous with a golden heart couples names Mr. and Mrs. Maximino Juan and Mr. and Mrs. Patrocinio Roque donated the lot where the two concrete classroom was being built.
Year 2020, the school finally became Kapanickian Norte Elementary School. With combination classes of Grade 1 and 2, Grade 3 and 4, and Grade 5 and 6, it consist of two permanent teachers and one volunteer teacher headed by Mrs. Rosemarie R. Que. The classrooms were initiated by the PTA and barangay officials, two concrete and one temporary learning space.
Through this period the work and support of the Barangay Offocials, GPTCA Officials, Stakeholders and Teaching Staff has been of Vital importance, not only in raising funds for successive projects but also in supplementing the school’s basic educational resources and equipment.
Another major influence on the development of the school in recent years was the work and leadership of Ma’am Jenilyn A. Tunac, Principal V who initiated the put up of Gymnasium. Followed bt the landscaping and beautification of the school ground, waiting aea infront of the school, covered walk, etc initiated by Sir Charidick D. Agcaoili, the Head Teacher. A recent project has been the building of a classroom, repainting of landscape.
KNES is continually moving forwards and there will always be new projects being considered in order to improve the facilities for the learners and staff.
