Kapalutan Elementary School is located 1.5 kilometers away from the municipality of Allacapan, Province of Cagayan. It is bounded in the northeast of Nagattatan, south of Kapagaran, and one of the farthest barangay of Allacapan. The next barangay to the south is a part of Lasam, Cagayan. Kapalutan Elementary School is about 3 kilometers to the nearest Elementary school which is Kapagaran Elementary School.
It is headed by Mrs. Madelyn A. Costales, Teacher-In-Charge, since September 2018. The school currently has six (6) teachers (excluding the head).
Program like "One Class, One Reading Nook" are initiated by the teachers to help the pupils in their reading abilities and to improve the pupils' vocabulary.
On the other hand, barangay Capalutan is a barangay in the municipality of Allacapan which has a population of 700.
According to the 2015 Census, the age group with the highest population in Capalutan is 5 to 9, with 89 individuals. Conversely, the age group with the lowest population is 75 to 79, with 2 individuals.
Combining age groups together, those aged 14 and below, consisting of the the young dependent population which include infants/babies, children and young adolescents/teenagers, make up an aggregate of 36.71% (257). Those aged 15 up to 64, roughly, the economically active population and actual or potential members of the work force, constitute a total of 59.43% (416). Finally, old dependent population consisting of the senior citizens, those aged 65 and over, total 3.86% (27) in all.
The population of Capalutan grew from 331 in 1990 to 700 in 2015, an increase of 369 people. The latest census figures in 2015 denote a negative growth rate of 4.30%, or a decrease of 182 people, from the previous population of 882 in 2010.
