CANAYUN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: The Seat of Quality Education
EMELIE Y. AYAP
Head Teacher III
Republic Act 9155 which is widely known as Governance of Basic Education Act of 2001 provides the overall framework for School Heads Empowerment. It stipulates all my mandates and role in the delivery of Quality Basic Education being one of the School Heads in the Department.
During this new set-up in education there is a huge change that the pandemic has brought us causing a tremendous adjustment not only among DepEd Officials, Heads and Teachers, but most especially among community stakeholders who formed part of the frontliners in education. In the continuity of quality and safe education, I want to offer my salute to the stakeholders of Canayun Elementary School for always partnering with us to make the school a “ Seat of Quality Basic Education” which prepares our young generations in their role as the hope of our Motherland.
As a School Head, my accountability and responsibility to safeguard the interest and welfare of the learners of Canayun Elementary School in terms of quality delivery of Basic Education, at the same time, the safety of every employee are marked crucial. However, I take all risks and necessary precautions to attain our goal.
“Commitment to the teaching profession is important”, said the Secretary of Education. School Heads, Teachers should love teaching most especially during this time of pandemic for in this present situation when COVID-19 has sucked our face to face modality, DepEd provided the Learning Continuity Plan to guide in the discharge of our duties as officials according to DO No. 12, s 2020. The present situation does not hinder me as the leader to push through.
QUALITY EDUCATION amidst chaos and adversity. As long as you support me, I pursue and continue my passion as one of the custodians of learning. Me and you, our stakeholders are the stewards of education who build the future of our nation. Therefore, hand in hand, we make our school, the “ Canayun Elementary School: Seat of Quality Basic Education”
BRIGADA ESKWELA: August 3 to September 30, 2021
ENROLMENT PERIOD: August 16 to September 13, 2021
OPENING OF CLASSES: September 13, 2021
Canayun Elementary School was fortunately granted a three-classroom building with a six million budget for this SY 2020-2021 and finally started the construction early part of August, 2020.
The said building was elevated due to the fact that the school is often flooded because it is situated in a low lying area within Abulug downstream.
Due to the weather constraints, the expected time of completion was affected and delayed that up to now, there are still finishing touches being done like window grills installation, floor tiling, installation of toilet bowls, ceiling fans and fluorescent bulbs.
Hopefully, this building will be completed within the month of June.
