The first ever Virtual SciMathLympics Municipal Elementary Level was conducted on June 18, 2021 hosted by the District Science Coordinator Myra G. Casilian, Principal II of Bagu Elem. School in tandem with District Math Coordinator Jojie I. Morales, HT3 of Macugay ES.
Science Quiz Bee, Poster Making, Science Olympics and Math Quiz Bee were the contested events for the elementary level.
The said contest aimed to select the best pupil participant to represent Abulug District to the Congressional level.
It was indeed a great challenge to host virtual contest like this, but with the strong determination and willingness to embrace changes brought to us by the new normal in our educational system, it was successfully and smoothly handled.
The winners in the said contest were the following: Science Quiz Bee- Guia Pauleen Amabilis,Simayung ES, Math Quiz Bee- Brayanth Jarlath Tabor, Sta. Filomena ES, Poster Making- Angel Cris Torres ,Abulug Central ES and Science Skills Olympics- Guiddam ES.
The winning schools will represent Abulug District to the CD2 Congressional Level Competition...

Two contestants of Bagu Elementary School in the recently concluded Virtual SciMathLympics Municipal Level garnered 2nd place and 3rd place in the Poster Making Contest and Science Quiz bee respectively.
Alex Agyapas a grade six pupil won 2nd place in the poster making contest. He was coached by Mr. Richard Tabunar. Likewise, Shamira San Martin got 3rd place in the Science quiz bee. She was coached by his adviser Mr. Warren Carpio. Both were grade 6 pupils.
