History 

Calobaoan Elementary School was established under Presidential Decree No.6-A. This decree shall be known as the “Educational Development Decree of 1972 under the virtue of power of President Ferdinand Edralin Marcos. This school was successfully established when a parcel of land was donated by a kind person. This area lies on 15 degrees 51’ 49.6” N and 120 degrees 20’ 14.4” E or 15degrees 51 minutes 49.6 seconds North and 120 degrees 20 minutes 14.4 seconds east. Calobaoan Elementary School is a DepEd managed partially urban public elementary school located in San Carlos City, Pangasinan.

According to our ancient people in this barangay, Calobaoan is famous for Christmas trees (lobaw) for decorations. The neighboring barangays usually come to this place during Christmas season to get "lobaw" trees for decorations. From that time on the place was called Calobaoan. Barangay Calobaoan is located in the eastern part of the city. It is bounded in the east by barangay Bacnar, in the west by barangay Caoayan Kiling, in the north by barangay Abanon and in the south by barangay Guelew.

 It has a total land area of 2.15 square kilometers and a projected population of 3,044 (2006). Distance from the city of San Carlos is 10 kilometers.
